Who is Margo Thomas?

Hi! I’m Margo Thomas, author, speaker, and certified coach. As a former Director of a mentoring and college prep program, I know all too well, that high school students choose colleges with little research, resulting in exorbitant student loan debt after they graduate. I am passionate about helping students make better decisions about going to college to avoid negatively impacting their financial future. Recently I was brought face-to-face with the reality that planning for life's major milestones (college, careers, businesses, and even death) is not only a good idea, but a necessity. After the loss of my husband, Byron I began sharing my journey through grief by creating relatable resources I believe will help others navigate their own grief journey.

Ms. Margo is very knowledgeable about the college prep process. The resources and tools I received were very effective. I used them in college and am still using them today as a first-year teacher. I would definitely recommend Ms. Margo because she gives excellent advice on how college works.

Most of our students and their parents don’t know how to start planning for college. We have assisted around 25 students using the I Am College Bound College Prep Planner. Our students and parents found the Career, College Application, College Choice, & Scholarship Trackers most helpful. Margo is knowledgeable, professional, and cares for students. She wants to see them succeed beyond high school.
